Charming compound layout, historical legacy, stylish furnishings
The breakfast timing needs revisiting, and late starts at 8:30 AM don't fit well with most travelers' schedules!!! A noticeable noise issue from a nearby bar until 11:30 PM disrupted a peaceful stay!!!

My room was reasonably large and reasonably spacious, there were central heating, television, and a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. The bed was great & the staff there were very amiable.

Equal parts excellent and disappointing
The room was spacious and boasted a fine marble shower. Plus, with great personal touches throughout my stay.
Breakfast didn't start until 8:30 AM, and noise from a nearby bar was disruptive well into the night, marring an otherwise pleasant experience.

Zelda Dearest really blew me away! The Paradise Suite was spacious and super comfy, complete with upscale furnishings. The included breakfast featured very nice pastries from a local bakery, a lovely treat. I loved how beautiful and stylish the whole hotel felt, with a charming, inviting atmosphere. The location was another highlight. Just a short walk to the vibrant galleries and restaurants of Asheville. The noise from the busy street during the day was a bit bothersome, but it quieted down nicely at night. A more robust breakfast offering would be appreciated, since it felt a little one-note after a couple of days. I also found the steep walk back from downtown a bit challenging at times.

The stay was perfect for my three-night visit to explore the art scene in Asheville. I was in the Mystic Suite, which exceeded my expectations with its spacious layout and beautiful marble shower. The decor captured a Great Gatsby theme beautifully, and the attentiveness of the staff. I felt at home and completely took care of during my stay.
